“Christmas is Coming” is a Christmas carol traditionally sung in the round. It’s origin is unknown. The traditional version of this song uses the melody of the English dance tune “Country Gardens,” but other melodies exist. Edith Nesbit Bland (1858 – 1924) composed a popular tune for the lyrics. “Christmas is Coming” is considered one of the more popular songs for caroling.
Hmm, how sad to be singing this particular song amidst the widespread poverty and homelessness in the world.

Golly, I often feel a step or two away from homelessness and poverty. I am fortunate to have safety nets in the form of my family… But with my new neuro-muscular disease and not being able to work, I am constantly stressed as to where I can dig up the money for this or that. But had my family background been different when it hit… Yikes! Count your blessings. You never know what the future has in store…
Indeed. Good advice to count blessings.
